Working principle of dry screw vacuum pump
The working principle of a dry screw vacuum pump is mainly based on the use of gear transmission to synchronize and rotate in the opposite direction without contact between the left and right screws for high-speed rotation. The pump casing and the spiral grooves of the propeller that mesh with each other are divided into multiple spaces, forming multiple stages. Gas is transmitted and moved in equal grooves without compression, and only the spiral structure at the end of the screw has a compression effect on the gas. The pressure gradient can be formed between each stage of the screw to disperse the pressure difference and improve the compression ratio. The clearance between each part and the pump speed have a significant impact on the performance of the pump. When designing the clearances between various parts of the screw, factors such as expansion, machining and assembly accuracy, and working environment should be considered. Dry screw vacuum pumps, like Roots vacuum pumps, do not have exhaust valves.
